While reading How to build a better web browser [via], the line: “the 5 or 10 URLs I visit most often, whether they’re in my bookmarks or not, should be pushed into my quick link bar,” inspired an idea for a Firefox extension. A few quick searches brought up no results for anything similar, though i’m sure the idea is not original, especially with that article’s recent popularity. A toolbar very much like the current bookmark toolbar but which dynamically shows the most frequently visited addresses (from the history) as clickable “bookmark” links. This may be the idea that finally makes me dig into extension development. As if i need more unfinished projects to not work on.
