Yes! Thanks to a post at elliotback.com [via] i finally found out why my static page redirection stopped working, and fixed it. Apparently my host 1and1 changed a server setting which screwed up the mod_rewrite rule i was using to clip the file extensions from URLs. It only affected the one static-file page from the root LCD section of my site. WordPress didn’t seem to be affected. And i’m basically clueless when it comes to .htaccess, so i wouldn’t have figured it out otherwise. Believe me—i tried and gave up. Several times. Just one more nagging reminder that i need to move out of 1and1 and in to my TextDrive space that’s been collecting dust.
