Bookended this one. Started watching it, fell asleep, then caught the last half hour. I enjoy seeing well-done futuristic visions like this. So much built-up conflict; such a satisfying release. Yeah, maybe it’s pure candy, but it’s a great feel-gooder. Guess who gets the F word in this PG-13er. Smith is great. Never saw Ali, but this could be his best. And his son does pretty well. Inspires one to do work in ‘07. [ READ MORE ]
Kinda takes the best of all the martial arts flicks and mashes them up into a pretty good tale. Some really creative weapons fights. I loved the old dude that announced the fights—he was like a Chinese version of the old bank owner’s son in Mary Poppins. [ READ MORE ]
