LCD Theme Status 20060531-0017
I’m hacking on LCD a bit for the first time in some weeks. Trying to pick up where i left off on the new Options window. But also wanted to get down as a reminder that the Downloads and Extensions windows look horrible. A lot of little things are busted in those windows, but it’s most likely a case of moved/renamed elements/classes/IDs, so it’ll just take some resyncing of CSS selectors, and probably not much new code.
I downloaded the newest Alpha 3 of Bon Echo, but haven’t yet installed it. Very curious to see what kind of changes are going on in the next generation of Firefox. The anti-phishing popup shown in the screenshots at Mozilla Links looks a little scary. Not quite sure how that would look in LCD. But other things like the integrated search button in the Search Bar are something i’ve basically already done with the icons on the Location Bar. I also already have the magnifying glass icon from back when you could search the document from the search bar—back before the Find bar at the bottom of the window.
I’ve been thinking about releasing lately. I had been thinking that i could just push out what i have and iron out any kinks with updates. But it’s good that i cracked this open, because i realized that there are still some very rough spots that aren’t quite ready.

I don’t know what your saying…
I even read you links…I’m LOST
But I am glad you are an explorer and have such a wealth of knowledge….
I had this theme once for about two days before it became obsolete. I hope you can bring it out soon before Firefox renews itself again and again your theme won’t work.
afigbee, yep, i’m anxiously watching Firefox 2 on the horizon. It seems like i always get leapfrogged by Firefox’s development. By the time i finally get my theme up to par, there’s a whole new version of the browser out. There’s only one or two major things i need to fix for the 1.x series. I haven’t even looked at what has changed in the UI for 2.x yet.
