Firsts

I added a comment to one of my own posts for the first time last night. In “Path To A Site Icon” i wrote about making my first site icon. It was also the first time i tried pinging sites i linked to in the post. I had to enable pingback from the Options > [ READ MORE ]

Different Directories

So i think i finally figured out this different directories installation thing. I used a rewrite rule to route requests for the root index to the index in the WordPress directory. There was no actual index file in the root. That seemed to work just fine. But i couldn’t figure out how to “secure” the [ READ MORE ]

Path To A Site Icon

So i’m thinkin that i don’t like how the W icon shows up on my site when i’m in the WordPress admin interface. As a side-effect, it becomes easy to confuse with wpo pages when i have lots of tabs open. Recently i had been looking at snapshots of my old theme design from before [ READ MORE ]

Engine Swap

Just upgraded to 1.5-beta-1 2005-01-22, in my effort to start bringing back my old design as a Theme. Probably would have worked fine before, but just wanted the latest and greatest to work with. The new default Kubrick-based theme looks much better than the old Classic. So that’s what we’ll be wearing until i can [ READ MORE ]

Reminder

Might like to add a category icon or unique styling to identify the LCD posts, because they read out of context in the mix with the rest. Perhaps something similar to how i had my notes, quotes, and wanderings in my pre-1.3a-upgrade template. Which i also need to rework into a theme. Also not sure [ READ MORE ]
