Casino Royale (2006)

How amazing was the initial foot chase? That alone was probably worth the price of admission. Maybe it should have been at the end of the movie, because it started to get confusing with too many drawn out endings.

But Daniel Craig is a freaking specimen. No homo. He owns both the witty gentleman and ruthless spy.

I liked the obligatory title sequence [via DV Guru]. Sort of a retro throwback animation look with some neat 3D twists. Had a very similar retro feel and color palette as my favorite title sequence from Catch Me If You Can. Though i wasn’t feelin the music as much.

There weren’t a whole lot of crazy gadgets and gizmos—perhaps because this was his first double-oh mission. But that’s maybe a good thing—the Bond gadgets of the Brosnan era were going off on the cornball tip.

Best action film i’ve seen in a while.
